About me. My name is Daniel Lafrenière. I am a consultant, author, public speaker and teacher in the field of User/Customer Experience design (Web and mobile). I live near beautiful Québec City.
Consultant. I help my clients discover new insights of their customers and create websites that are relevant to them.
With more than 25 years of experience in insurance and banking, I am quite familiar with this domain. Desjardins, Desjardins General Insurance, Desjardins Financial Security, la Capitale and SSQ are among my clients.
I have also worked with other clients such as Cogeco, Videotron and Transcontinental (communications), Rio Tinto Alcan (aluminium industry), Taleo (talent management), Ticket Master (tickets sales) and VIA Rail (railways).
Author. I co-authored (with Mark Morin) the book entitled Talk to me: Get Personal. Get Relevant. Get More Customers! in 2010.
I also published the following books: Le design Web raisonné: 3 étapes pour concevoir l’expérience client in 2005 and Créez des interfaces gagnantes in 1995.
Speaker. For the past 20 years, I have been teaching/lecturing on UX design in universities (Université Laval, Université de Montréal, Université de Lyon 2), in Fortune 500 corporations and at conferences such as CHI, UPA and WAQ in North America (USA, Canada) and Europe (Sweden, the Netherlands, France).
